Organic
waste requires different
blends of friendly bacteria
to breakdown, Bio8 offer
a range of products to deal
with specific problems of
breaking down solid organic
waste. This waste may be
in many categories, but
most commonly it is in the
form of foodstuffs which
collect in grease traps
in kitchens and fast food
outlets, waste cuts from
food processing facilities
and of course natural sewage
which is found in septic
tank and waste water treatment
plants.
The aim of our products
is to breakdown the solids
and liquefy them to allow
the microbes to convert
the waste into water and
CO². This has many
benefits in reducing the
levels of effluent that
are put into our rivers,
streams and lakes and helping
the environment.
Our product range contains
a unique blend of non-engineered
cultures that rapidly digest
organic wastes. These bacteria
are supplied on a proprietary
micronutrient carrier that
provides accelerated germination,
growth, and enzyme production
to maximize the reduction
of BOD, COD, suspended solids,
ammonia, and odours.

| Applications |
| |
|
 |
The
digestion of
long established
anaerobic and
aerobic sludge’s,
as well as decreasing
the total dissolved
solids of the
liquid effluent. |
|
 |
Declogging
of Grease Traps
which contain
organic food
waste as well
as grease, fats
& Oils. |
|
 |
Chemical Oxygen
Demand (COD)
and Biological
Oxygen Demand
(BOD) is reduced
in effluent
systems by digesting
effluent material
before it can
become anaerobic. |
|
 |
Used to establish
a biomass at
the start-up
of new systems,
and for recovery
after plant
upsets |
|
 |
Food processing
plants such
as slaughter
houses, fisheries
and poultry
processors that
suffer from
a high COD /BOD
readings which
often result
in discharge
penalties. |
|
 |
Fruit and
vegetable effluent
retention ponds. |
|
|
 |
The cleaning
of overloaded
drains, holding
tanks, and other
sewerage or
septic components. |
|
| Benefits |
|
 |
Reduce sludge
volumes in hydraulically
overloaded systems |
|
 |
Reduces sludge
processing and
disposal costs
using pump tankers. |
|
 |
A 60% -80%
reductions in
COD/BOD is achievable |
|
 |
Impedes waste-related
odour generation
by oxidizing
malodorous compounds. |
|
 |
Plant capacity
and efficiency
are increased. |
|
 |
Brings the
plant into environmental
compliance.s |
